Nayanthara Biography

At just the age of 21 years, Keralite Nayanthara has acquired the reputation of acting opposite male actors who are almost twice as old. She starred in her first Malyalam film opposite Jayaram, and then in "Chandramukhi" with renowned Indian actor Rajnikanth, then with other aging actors like Sarath Kumar, Mohanlal, and Mammotty. Now she has been cast to play the lead role in a much younger Simbu's directorial debut, in which he also has the lead role. Nayanthara and Simbu's intimate life-sized posters created shock waves in Chennai, which were subsequently pulled down by the police. Similar excitement resulted when glamorous life-sized posters were posted all over Chennai - this time with her co-star S.J. Surya. With her attractive looks and talent, it is no wonder that she is one of the most popular actresses in the Tamil film industry.

Nayantara means "star eyes".

Completed her B.A. in Literature. Was not able to continue with her C.A. studies though due to her film commitments.

Her favorite film is Manassinakkare (2003).

Won the Best Model Award of Kerala in 2002.

Hails from Thiruvalla, a small town in Kerala where her parents, Kurian and Omana Kodiyattu, settled after her father retired from the defense service. She has one brother, Lenu, who lives in Dubai.

Pooja Gandhi Biography

She hails from Punjab. She studied in New Delhi Public School. Her father, Pawan Gandhi is a businessman. She has a younger sister, Radhika Gandhi, who is also working in Kannada films. She left her studies midway during her first year graduation when she got an opportunity to act in a Bengali film. Since then, she has never looked back and has been associated with success in the South Indian film industry.

Career

She made her debut in the Bengali film Tomake Salam released in 2003. She moved to South Indian film industry with the Tamil film Kokki which did not show promising results in the box-office. She has also acted in Dhamad Ke Intizaar and has even finished a Tamil film Vaitheeswaran opposite Sarath Kumar.

She entered the Kannada film industry with Mungaaru Male which was a big hit in Karnataka. Following this movie, she was an ad-model for several shaving cream advertisements.

Pooja Gandhi has also acted in the Kannada movie Krishna, opposite "Comedy Time" Ganesh her co-actor in Mungaaru Male.

Sonam Kapoor Biography

Sonam Kapoor comes from an established film family. She is the daughter of actor and producer Anil Kapoor, and the grandchild of filmmaker Surinder Kapoor. Sonam is Bollywood royalty with immense support in the Indian film fraternity.

Unlike most star children, Sonam started life with a structured education, and a grounding in the process of filmmaking. She graduated from college in Political Science and Economics. She is interested in writing and direction, and has assisted the celebrated director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the production of his films including the path-breaking 'Black'.

The veteran director then asked her to star in his next project, the critically acclaimed "Saawariya". Sonam made a confident debut and elicited notable reviews for it. She was nominated for a number of film awards as a debutante and an actress. She won the "Stardust Superstar of Tomorrow" award.

Her second movie, "Delhi 6" got her glowing reviews and established her as an actress of calibre. 2010 has been the turning point for Sonam, with two back-to-back hits - "I Hate Luv Storys" and "Aisha". These hits propelled her into the league of superstars.

Sonam was named the "Best Dressed Celebrity" of 2009 by People's Magazine. Sonam is associated with prestigious brands like L'Oreal Paris, Electrolux, Spice Mobile, Mont Blanc and Anant Diamond Jewellery (a sub brand of Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council).

Sonam was born in Chembur, Bombay, India in the Kapoor family, which consists of Punjabi-speaking dad - Bollywood actor, Anil Kapoor, Sindhi-speaking mom, Sunita (nee Bhambhani), sister, Rhea and brother, Harshvardhan.

She is the niece of film-maker Boney Kapoor, and actor, Sanjay Kapoor. The family has good connections within the Bombay-based Indian movie industry now popularly known as Bollywood. Boney's wife is noted yesteryear film actress Sridevi. Her cousin, Arjun, Boney's son, is an up and coming movie director.

She completed her schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir and majored in Theater Arts and Chinese History from United World College of East Asia. She then also majored in Political Science and Economics from Bombay University.

Her mom, who came from a business family, did not initially approve of her taking to acting and preferred that she get a college education, and then eventually marry and settle down.

She assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the filming of 'Black' and often went to Mumbai's notorious Chor Bazar near Grant Road Railway Station to shop for props. She has made her first appearance in Bollywood with 'Saawariya' opposite another débutante, Ranbir Kapoor, the son of Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor.

None of her releases did well at the box-office save for 'I Hate Luv Storys', however, she was praised for her role in 'Saawariya' so much so that she was nominated for several awards, and did win the 'Stardust Award' for her performance in this flick. Even though 'Delhi 6' flopped at the box-office, her performance was praised.

Anand was born to a Punjabi family in Jalandhar, Punjab in 1983. Her father is Brigadier S.S. Anand, a doctor in the Indian Army; his frequent transfers led to Nikita studying in different schools (St. Mary's Pune, Maharashtra; Bishop Cottons, Ranchi, Jharkhand; Cathedral and John Connon, Bombay; NIFT, Delhi).

At age 19 Nikita (5'8" in height) was crowned Femina Miss India 2003, taking over the title from Neha Dhupia, and represented India at the Miss Universe pageant in Panama City, Panama where she became the first Indian representative not to make it to the semi-finals since 1991. She made her acting debut in Bollywood with Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee and then appeared Dil Dosti Etc.

Sameera was born in the Telugu-speaking Reddy family on December 14, 1978. She has two sisters, Meghna and Sushma. The Reddy ancestors hailed from a small town named Rajamundry in the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh.

While still a student in Sydenham College, she sang in Pankaj Udhas' video 'Aashita' with a blond male Caucasian. Then partly influenced by her siblings' success, she bagged some modeling assignments, including Lissome, as well as appeared in a Telugu movie. Plump, hair tied back, and bespectacled, she started working as a Marketing Executive with a multi-national company.

Sameera decided to take her acting career seriously and starting working out, eating the right foods, going to the gym, jogging, Kathak (a dance form in South India), swimming and yoga. She allowed herself 8 hours of sleep everyday and indulged her skin with all kinds of natural ingredients like curd and honey, and generally avoided make-up.

This regular routine paid off resulting in one of India's hottest film actresses' and she made her debut opposite Sohail Khan in 'Maine Dil Tujko Diya'. This movie did not fare well but got her noticed and launched her career in Bollywood.

Quite a shy and moody person, she loves stuffed toy-turtles and enjoys eating in small restaurants rather than five-star hotels.

Finally there is an official way (no myspace code required) to have top 16 friends (or top 12 or top 4). To activate this feature do the following:
1. Add X-MEN : The Movie as a friend.
2. Click "Home" to return to your myspace home page.
3. Click "Change my "Top Friends"" link under your friend list.
4. Now you have the option to change number of friends in your top (see the screenshot below):
